GRAMMY-WINNING R&B DIVA CHANTÉ MOORE SET FOR BANNER YEAR WITH FIRST NEW CD IN FIVE YEARS, NEW TV SHOW & RENEWED INSPIRATION!!!

Singer and songwriter Chanté Moore’s voice, stunning beauty and unerring artistic vision have afforded the Gold-selling R&B singer to enjoy an illustrious two-decade career that is rare in this business. “I have been blessed and honored to do what I love for a living for as long as I have,” confides the dynamic songbird. “My fans who have continued with me on my journey have become a part of me and the music.” Moore’s genuine connection with her audience has been forged through her intimate and personal songwriting. Chanté’s effortless combination of R&B soaked in gospel roots, soul accents kissed with a touch of jazz and grace with fire, coalesce on her Shanachie Entertainment debut, Moore Is More (July 30, 2013). Chanté wrote or co-wrote most of the songs featured on the new CD. “My heart is overwhelmed with excitement and joy in life and in my music! I have more to give my fans, more then meets the eye, more of the same and more than what you expect.”

The CD opens with the inviting and seductive "Baby Can I Touch Your Body," one of nine originals on the stellar ten-track album. At home in multiple idioms, Chanté Moore can personalize and bring to life any song, regardless of genre. She is that good and fearless in her approach. Chanté’s composition "Talking In My Sleep" opens with her trademark falsetto reminiscent of Minnie Riperton.  The catchy fantasy-driven R&B ditty is a CD highlight. On the fierce, defiant and declarative Diva-esque "Alone," the singer lays down the law and bares it all on the show-stopping number "Don't Make Me Laugh," a riveting and heart-wrenching ballad that finds her in top form. The Los Angeles based artist delivers an emotionally charged performance on the poignant "Mrs. Under, Stood" and she lets loose and cranks it up a notch delivering a prescription for any blues on the funky and spunky "Doctor Doctor." Chanté calls on friend Da Brat for the fist-pumping club banger "On And On," and on the devotional "Giving You My Always" and the awe-inspiring "Jesus, I Want You," she testifies and showcases her depth as both a singer and composer with an undeniable gift.

Moore is currently starring in the highly rated and anticipated TV One reality show spin-off, R&B Diva’s: L.A., which premiered on July 10, 2013 on TV One, breaking records for its high viewership. The show follows the lives and careers of Moore as well as Kelly Price, Lil' Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Michel'le and Dawn Robinson. Like fellow songbirds Minnie Riperton, Deniece Williams and Mariah Carey, chanteuse Chanté Moore shares the rare distinction of possessing a spectacularly soaring range. Shanachie Entertainment VP of A&R, Danny Weiss, “I'm super-enthusiastic about working with Chanté now, not only because she is such a brilliant vocalist, but also because she is entering into an exciting new phase in her life both personally and artistically. Moore Is More will manifest that growth and excitement.”
