Safe Kids Savannah will participate in National Seat
Check Saturday on September 21, by holding a free child safety seat check from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot of the Toys R Us located at 7400 Abercorn Street in Savannah. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available to examine child safety seats for recalls and to ensure correct installation in cars, free of charge. The event is being held as part of National Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week which takes place from September 15-21.
National Seat Check Saturday is an opportunity for parents and
parents-to-be to have their car seats checked for proper installation by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.
The event is free and open to the public and no appointment is

IN EFFINGHAM COUNTY
Authorities and child safety seat advocates are teaming up for a seat check Sept. 21 at the Effingham County Wal-Mart to spread their message about the importance of child occupant protection. The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, in partnership with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and Effingham County Health Department, will be hosting the event to mark National Seat Check Saturday.
The seat check will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Rincon Wal-Mart. Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be on site to assist anyone in properly installing their child safety seats as well as answering any questions.
